Happy School Nurse Appreciation Day! 🩺✨
Shoutout to the one who keeps our school running smoothly behind the scenes—our awesome nurse! From handling the “I don’t feel good” crowd to giving solid advice (and yes, the occasional ice pack), you somehow balance it all like a pro.
You’re part healthcare hero, part counselor, part problem-solver—and 100% essential to our school family. Some days can be a lot, but you’re always there to help students reset, refocus, and get back out there.
Thanks for being real, reliable, and always in our corner. We appreciate you big time! 🙌

End of an era, beginning of a new chapter! 🍎✨
Today we celebrate Principal Ronnie Woods, who is retiring after an incredible 35 years of dedicated service to our students and community. Mr. Woods began his journey in 1992 at Cedar Valley Elementary and has spent over three decades shaping the future of Meigs County. We are forever grateful for his leadership, his heart, and the legacy he leaves behind at Meigs Middle School.

As we say a fond farewell, we are also thrilled to announce our new Principal, Lee Ann Cross! 🐾
Mrs. Cross is a familiar face in our Tiger family, having started her career with Meigs County Schools in 2001 as a History Teacher at Meigs County High School, bringing years of passion and experience to her new role.

It was an honor for Meigs Middle School to attend the Welcome Home celebration for the final HonorAir flight. Our students and teachers were truly grateful for the opportunity to shake hands with heroes and personally thank them for their service as they made their way through the crowd. Many veterans took notice of our shirts and asked where we were from. We were proud to share that we represent Meigs County and that we are deeply committed to showing our support for those who have served our country. As we expressed our gratitude, it was especially meaningful to hear the veterans thank us in return for being there to support them. It was a powerful and humbling experience that our students and staff will not soon forget.
