✨ How Can You Help Your Child Get Ready?
You are your child's first teacher! Here are a few simple things you can work on at home to prepare for the big first day:
Potty Training: Work with your child on using the bathroom independently. This helps them feel confident and stay involved in classroom fun!
Practice "Self-Care": Help them learn to put on their own shoes, zip their coats, and wash their hands.
Talk and Read: Read a story together every day and ask questions about the pictures.
Sharing: Play simple games at home where they have to wait for their turn.
Count Everything: Count snacks, toys, or steps to start building math skills.
Our Vision
The Meigs County Schools Early Childhood program envisions a united community of families, educators, and staff creating a nurturing and structured space where children joyfully discover, grow, and develop a lifelong love of learning through playful and purposeful experiences.
Welcome to Meigs County Schools Preschool! We believe every child deserves a great start. Our programs help children learn, grow, and get ready for Kindergarten in a safe and friendly environment.
In Meigs County, we offer two main paths for our little learners:
Voluntary Pre-K (VPK): For 4-year-olds to get ready for school.
Blended Preschool: A special classroom where children with and without disabilities learn together.
