The MCHS Counseling Department is heading up this Fill The Bins clothing and shoes recycling initiative! Families can drop off their surplus of men, women and children’s clothing, shoes, and accessories. The school will earn money for each pound of recyclables collected. Then, the textiles are repurposed, recycled or reused. The counseling department will use monies to support Meigs County for student needs.
WHAT ARE TEXTILES?
Textiles include items made from cloth or artificial fabric, like vinyl. Nearly all
textiles can be recycled, such as:
• CLOTHING: Pants, jeans, skirts, dresses, suits, shorts, shirts, tees, tanks
• OUTERWEAR: Coats, jackets, gloves, hats, scarves
• FOOTWEAR: Shoes, boots, heels, sneakers, sandals, socks, tights
• UNDERGARMENTS: Bras, underwear, slips, camisoles
• ACCESSORIES: Hats, belts, ties, scarves, headbands
• HANDBAGS: Wallets, totes, luggage, backpacks, briefcases
• LINENS: Towels, sheets, comforters, blankets, tablecloths
So do some "Spring" cleaning over the Fall Break and FILL the BIN!!
The GREEN BIN is located at Meigs County High School near the Practice Field.
