
Miss Kylie's class has been learning about the ancient Egyptian culture and their written language. They all made their own papyrus paper by staining the paper with tea bags, and Miss Kylie burned the edges. They then each wrote their name in the ancient Egyptian language called hieroglyphics.

Mrs. A's students reviewed lunar phases using spheres and a light source in 8th grade science. They modeled the motion in the earth, moon and sun system due to gravity in our solar system. Students practiced identifying the different phases of the moon and eclipses during the various phases.

The Spelling Bee at Meigs Middle has been rescheduled to Wednesday, January 31st, at 1:45 in the cafeteria.

8th grade superlative pictures will be postponed due to sickness. A new date will be sent out in January.

The annual Christmas Bazaar at Meigs Middle School will be Wednesday and Thursday, December 13 & 14. Students can buy gifts for family and friends!




Pictured are 8th grade students taking the ACT test. Taking the test early is a great way to get students acquainted with the test and help relieve anxiety for future testing.


Meigs Middle School will have it's annual talent show in the gym on December 14th at 1:15. Admission is $2.

7th grade students were asked to make a model of their choice of plant or animal cell using recycled materials. These were used to decorate Mrs. Blevens's Christmas tree in science class.
