4th grade students took a field trip to learn about science standards. Students were divided into small groups and rotated through stations to learn about the earth, plate tectonics, creation of mountains, renewable and non renewable resources, soil erosion, and water runoff. Students, teachers, and volunteers enjoyed these hands on experiments. Thank you to all our volunteers, the 4th grade teachers, and Mrs. Megan Harris for a wonderful day.

Our school was invited to participate in the Governor’s Early Literacy Foundation’s K-3 Home Library program this summer. Through this program, all rising 1st-3rd grade students in our school district are being given the opportunity to receive six high-quality books and activity pages, delivered to their homes this summer at no cost to families. By completing the process below, you are opting your child out of participating in the K-3 Home Library program in Summer 2023. This means your child will not receive six high-quality books and activity pages, delivered to your home this summer. If you choose NOT to participate, contact your child’s teacher. Taking this step will ensure your child will NOT receive the books. In order to opt out, you must call and do so by 3:30 on Friday, February 17. After that time, we will not be able to remove your child from the recipient list. 3rd grade students studied idioms by having a dress up day. Students dressed up as their favorite idiom. An idiom is an expression that means something different than the literal meaning of the words. An example would be “break a leg”. See if you can figure out the idioms for these students.
