Meigs North Elementary

Our Spring picture day has been re-scheduled for Monday, March 23, 2026.

Our word of the month for February was intentional. Intentional means doing something on purpose. To be intentional you can use kind and respectful words, include others, listening, being patient, and doing your best without giving up.

We had a wonderful time at our Family STEAM night event. Families worked together to build things and solve problems. Thank you to everyone that joined us. Special thanks to TVA, our parent volunteers, and our high school student volunteers.

We would like to congratulate our 4th grade 4-H speech contestants. Each student was judged on their public speaking skills and speech content. Our Meigs North winners are 1st Keilymar, 3rd Lillyian, and 4th Henley. We are proud of each and everyone.

This is a friendly reminder that afternoon car riders at MNE starts at 3:00. Please don't come early because it creates traffic issues and safety concerns. If you check a child out late in the day, please park in the lower lot and walk up the sidewalk to the office; otherwise, you may get blocked in for a bit. Thanks. JJ

Don't forget to join MNE for Family STEM Night from 4:00-6:00 on Monday, Feb 23. It is a free interactive hands-on learning and exploration event partnered with the Creative Discovery Museum. Thanks. JJ

MNE will have after school tutoring on Mon and Thurs this week until 4:00. Bible will be Tues after school until 5:00. Thanks. JJ

The Creative Discovery Museum is sponsoring STEAM night at Meigs North. Come back from 4:00-6:00 to learn more about science, technology, engineering, art, and math. These areas are combined into some fun activities.

Spring pictures will be taken on February 27, 2026.

Since there is no school for students on Monday, we will have after school tutoring on Tuesday and Thursday this week at MNE. Thanks JJ

Meigs North fourth grader Titan Roberts, won the Elk's Lodge TN State Championship over the weekend for the 10-11 boys age group. He scored 23/25 shots. Next he will move on to the TN vs Mississippi vs Arkansas round in Paducah. We want to congratulate Titan and wish him good luck in his next round.

We will hold a PTO meeting on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. Please join us in the cafeteria at 3:30.

We would like to congratulate Mrs. Kaley Carpenter on the birth of her daughter. Ms. Kaley will be on leave for a few weeks spending time with her family.

Because we were out of school a few days, NED Show yo-yo's will be sold next week at MNE through Wednesday. Thanks. JJ
