Kindergarten and 1st grade learned about mixing colors while making paint monsters in Art. They mixed the paint while blowing it into their desired shape. Then they added eyes, arms and legs.
Mrs. Penrod’s class went to the Decatur Park for a cookout provided by the Decatur AmVets. After lunch, the students got to play at the park. Thank you AmVets for a great lunch!
Red Ribbon Week will be celebrated October 26-30, 2026. We invite all students to participate in our dress up days that help remind us to be drug free.

Join us for our annual Fall Festival on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
4th and 5th grade students can enter the 4-H photo contest. Pictures must be 4X6. You can submit one photo to each of the following categories: people, landscape, architecture, animal, misc. Please put your name, address, parent phone number, school, grade, and picture category on the back of the photo. All photos are to be turned in on October 14, 2026. Good luck!
3rd graders at Meigs North are wrapping up their Personal Narrative Writing Unit. Students peer reviewed each other’s papers before writing their final drafts.
Please remember that Meigs County schools will be on Fall Break October 5-9, 2026. We want everyone to have a safe and happy break and we will see you on Monday, October 12, 2026.
