Mrs. Neely’s Second Grade class had the best first day! We were all a little nervous to start a new school year. Mrs. Neely read a book titled “First Day Jitters.” The students thought it was too funny that the main character not wanting to get out of bed was actually the teacher.
After reading, students took a second to write down what they were nervous about before starting second grade. We were all relieved to hear that others were nervous about the same things. The class was able to enjoy a “snowball” fight to throw out our jitters. We ended with shaking out our jitters making a special Jitter Juice drink.

For those of you checking in with ParentVue, please note that student homerooms are subject to change as we work toward completing rosters and balancing class sizes. We plan to have rosters complete by our Teacher Meet and Greet and Kingergarten Roundup events on Tuesday, August 4. Also, please note that unfortunately, we do not accept parent requests for students to be placed with specific teachers. Summer School will begin on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Students should arrive before 8:00 if they are eating breakfast. Bus and car rider dismissal will be at 1:30. We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday.
