Tuesday, August 25, 2026 will be "blue" day. Wear something blue to support our Kindergarten students that are learning their colors.

Last week, Mrs. Jenifer's Firsties read a story about making friends. The boys and girls got to know their new friends by asking them about the things they like. The students then placed a sticker on the matching picture. They had a great time visiting and talking with one another. 🥰🤗

Friday concessions at Meigs North will begin on August 28, 2026. Prices range from $0.50- $2.00.

Mrs. Hali Freeman's class started their Friday Reflections in her room for all of 4th grade.

Mrs. Mays’ second grade class is ready to write their way into an amazing year! ✏️ We loved creating our beginning-of-the-year writing craftivity. We can’t wait to see all the wonderful ideas, stories, and learning that will fill this classroom this year! 💛

Big kindness shoutout today to the one and only Mr. Jennings! 🥹☔️ Our principal went around to all the teachers’ cars this morning, offering umbrellas in the rain. Talk about going above and beyond! We’re lucky to have such a thoughtful and kind principal! 💙🐯

Monday, August 24, 2026 will be "red" day in Kindergarten. Wear read to support our Kindergarten students as they learn their colors.

3rd Graders completed their Narrative Writing Pre-Assessment this week. John L. & Rhett P. were picked to be Mrs. Caitie’s All-Star Writers of the week. One of these superstars even used dialogue!

Mrs. Stephens' students are having fun learning how to use and read various science equipment to collect data for a lab report.

Mrs. Johnson's Kindergarten class made name bracelets. This activity helps students learn the letters in their name and be able to identify their name when they see it. Great job!

Meigs North first grade students learned about bus safety this morning with Vice Principal Tyler Roberts and SRO Tim Ark. All classes will have a bus safety demonstration throughout the day.

In order to go to the Boys and Girls Club on the provided bus, parents must fill out paperwork with the Boys and Girls Club. They will send the school notification once the required paperwork has been completed. Students that are signed up to go to the Boys and Girls Club will be sent to the club on the provided bus from Meigs North, unless a parent notifies the school by note or a phone call to the office. Please try to make the office aware of any changes prior to 2:00.

Our Back to School Dance will be on August 27th. Kindergarten through second grade will stay after school with permission to attend from 3:30-4:45. Students in grades third through fifth will come back from 5:00-6:30. The cost to attend is $3.00. Concessions will be sold. Students will be picked up in the car rider line at the end of their time. We hope to see everyone there.

The afternoon bus from MNE to the Boys and Girls Club will begin tomorrow, Monday, August 17. If your child is signed up to go to the club, we will send them there unless you call the school with other instructions. Prior approval and paperwork with the club must be complete before kids can go. Thanks. JJ

Ms. Corinne’s class had fun ending the first week of school by taking a test on the importance of following directions 🤣

Mrs. Hali Freeman's homeroom has had a great first week of 4th grade!

Mrs. Carley Shadrick read My Class is a Family to her 3rd graders. They pledged to be kind to everyone, raise their hand, be engaged in learning, come to class prepared, and always try their best!

Students practiced safe cafeteria procedures today with Mr. Million and Mr. Roberts.
