Meigs North Pre-K had an amazing last day of school! Students and their parents learned about dinosaurs and fossils. We can't wait to see our Kindergarten students next year.

Amvets Post 90 Americanism Competition winners …What does it mean to be an American? 2nd grade Zaden Benton won post and state level 3rd grade Lynnlee Neely won post level 4th grade Robert Woisin won post level Mrs. Neely was recognized for her promotion and support of the contest.

We would like all of our parents to know that the Boys and Girls Club will be closed next week, May 18-22. Please let the school know how your child will be going home.

Fourth grade had a great time at Main Event for their end of year reward trip.

Our Kindergarten graduation ceremony will be @ 9:00 on May 14, 2026. Fifth grade promotion will be at 1:00.

Meigs North staff took on the fifth grade students in a kickball tournament.

Meigs North sent out summer school invites to select students last week. We need those back by this Friday, May 8, marked with a Yes or No. This is a hard deadline so we can complete our planning for summer programs. Thanks. JJ

Happy School Nurse Appreciation Day to our very own Nurse Caycie!

On May 14, 2026 Meigs North will hold it's Kindergarten graduation and 5th grade promotion ceremony. Kindergarten graduation is at 9:00 and 5th grade promotion is at 1:00. Both will take place in the gym.

Awards Day for our 1st- 4th grade students will be on May 18, 2026.

Meigs North Field Day is tomorrow, Monday, May 4. Kona Ice will be here, and we will also be selling concessions. Extra yearbooks will also be available for purchase. Thanks, JJ

Field Day has been moved to Monday, May 4, 2026. Kona Ice will be on site. Please make sure your child wears athletic shoes. You may also want to send a water bottle and apply sunscreen before school. Most students will be outside all day. Please check with your child's teacher for a schedule.

Our May word of the month is Growth. Growth means learning, improving, and becoming better over time. It happens through effort, practice, and perseverance. We want our students to think about how much they have changed and improved academically and socially over the school year. It is time to celebrate how much each student has accomplished this year.
