Field day is back at Meigs South on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Students will be outside most of the day so send water bottles and sunscreen. Students should wear athletic shoes and comfortable clothing. Kona Ice will be on site.
Meigs County schools will be closed on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. Teachers will be conducting professional development and the building will be used as a voting precinct.

Thursday, March 26 is the last day of after-school tutoring. Thank you for allowing your students to stay with us to get some extra practice on reading and math skills. The students have worked so hard, and we are proud of all of them!
After-school tutoring is canceled today, Monday, March 16.
Meigs South is on regular schedule today. We will continue to work hard, learn lots, and have fun even though MCHS is dismissing early.
We will also continue with after school tutoring today! Thank you for your dedication and support for our students and teachers.
Because there was no school today for Presidents' Day, we will have after-school tutoring tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 17 and Thursday, Feb. 19 for this week. Thanks Mrs. Boshears
Ms. Paige and Ms. Jenna are Dental Hygienists who visited our kindergarten classes on Thursday to teach about good dental hygiene. They were so energetic and enthusiastic about dental health! Our boys and girls in kindergarten LOVED their visit (and the new toothbrushes they brought us).

48 fabulous 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders performed their Dribble Routine Tuesday night at MCHS before the big basketball ball game against Kingston! We are beyond proud of these kiddos and the skills they have learned. They are coached by Mrs. Niki, our outstanding physical education teacher.
