This morning a host of community members read to students at Meigs North & Meigs South Elementary.

Meigs County Schools will be on a 2- hour start delay tomorrow, Thursday, March 2nd. due to severe weather over night and into the morning hours as well as possible road conditions.

The Meigs County Lady Tigers will be in action in the district tournament tonight, February 16, at 6 pm. Admission is $5, and only TSSAA and TACA passes will be accepted. Gates will open at 5 pm. The game will not be live-streamed due to TSSAA District Tournament rules.
After school tutoring will be cancelled this afternoon because of forecasted severe weather in our area and having buses on the roads during the severe weather timeline.
Meigs County Schools will be closed tomorrow Friday, February 17 due to safety concerns regarding the severe weather overnight and into the morning hours.
Meigs County Schools are thankful for SROs that help bridge gaps between law enforcement and youth and to keep schools safe. #NASRO
