What a way to end the school year! 🎉 PreK had an amazing picnic at the park filled with fun activities! From cuddling animals at the petting zoo 🐾 to picking out free library books 📚 from the Library Bus, and learning about water safety with the YMCA, it was a day to remember! 🌞 We wish all our little ones a wonderful summer and good luck as they head into Kindergarten!

Tryouts for the Middle School Summer Boys Basketball Team will be held Tuesday, May 20 from 4:00-5:30 at Meigs Middle School. This is for boys who will be in 6th, 7th, or 8th. grade next year.

All Boys & Girls Club parents this is a reminder that the Club will be closed all of next week for staff training and the following Monday for Memorial day. 5/19 to 5/26. Our first day of Summer hours will begin on Tuesday 5/27 and we will be open from 7:00-5:30. Thank you and I hope you have a great summer!

Meigs County Schools will be on a two hour start delay tomorrow, Tuesday, May 13 due to the severe weather that came through our area this evening and possible road conditions in the morning.

Please come out and join us this Friday, May 9th at Meigs Middle School for the Henley Summer Brawl Pro Wrestling Event. All proceeds are going to the Henley Family as Mrs. Elissa continues her ongoing battle with cancer. Doors open at 6:30, first bell is at 7:30. All tickets are $10.00, ages 5 and under are free. Seating is first come first serve. Come hungry, Meigs County Youth League will be holding concessions: hotdogs, nachos, pizza, and drinks! Thank you.

Join us for the Meigs County Transition Resource Fair on Thursday May 8 from 3- 6 PM at Meigs County High School. This is a free event where parents, students, and families can connect directly with representatives from a wide variety of agencies and programs from across the state of Tennessee. You’ll have the chance to explore resources, ask questions, and gather valuable information to help support your child’s needs and future. Some of the organizations attending include: Disability Rights Tennessee, The Arc TN, TN Voices, the Family Support Program, the Center for Decision-Making Support, WorkAble TN, Ocoee Boys and Girls Club, Meigs County Health Department, ECF Choices, Pre-ETS, and Vocational Rehabilitation -- and many more. This is a great opportunity to find the tools and supports your family needs for success. We hope to see you there!

MEIGS COUNTY PARENTS: Find A Summer Food Service Program Site Summer Food Service Program sites are open and available when school is out for the summer. Once school is out, the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) begins. The SFSP is a partnership between the USDA Food and Nutrition Service, the Tennessee Department of Human Services (TDHS) and community-based organizations to provide free meals to children in their communities throughout the summer. Parents can find meal sites near them by: Going to the USDA Summer Meal Finder Website **If your search doesn’t show any results on the map, it’s possible that summer sites have not opened for the season. Meigs County Youth League Football and Cheer will be having their last early sign up day, tomorrow May 1st from 5:30-6:30 at the the equipment room beside the Meigs County Board of Education Building. The cost is $60 for the first child and $30 for each one after that. Anyone new to signing up will need to bring a copy of there birth certificate with them. Thank you.
