Meigs County High School football season tickets are now on sale. Tickets are $50 for our six regular season home games. They can be purchased at the high school office or digitally on GoFan.com. Come out and support the football team, cheerleaders, and band. Ticket sales will end on August 19.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) is hosting Boating Safety Classes and Exams at Meigs High School. If you were born after January 1, 1989, this is for you!
📅 Upcoming Dates
May 9th & May 23rd, June 13th & July 11th, August 1st & August 29th
⏰ Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (approx.)
📍 Location: Meigs High School Library (105 Able Ave, Decatur, TN)
📝 What You Need to Know
Who needs it? Any TN resident born after 1/1/1989 operating a vessel or PWC.
The "Ticket": You must purchase a Type 600 Boating Safety Exam Permit ($10) before arriving.
Where to buy: On the TWRAOntheGo app or anywhere hunting/fishing licenses are sold (Walmart, bait shops, etc.).
Important: Bring your phone (with the app) or your physical receipt to the class! This is your entry fee and your temporary permit once you pass.
⚠️ Pro-Tips for Registration
Age Limit: You must be at least 12 years old to take the exam.
Correct Info: If a parent is buying the permit for a student, make sure the permit is in the student's name and info, not the parent's!
Don’t Stress: If you don’t pass the first time, your receipt allows you to retake the exam until you do. Keep it safe!
Note: This certificate is not required if there is an adult on board (18+) who meets the legal requirements and can take immediate control of the vessel.
