
Meigs County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, February 20 based on hazardous road conditions and ice on roadways.

Due to road conditions associated with the snow and the safety of our cafeteria workers, we will not be providing meals today. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you.

MC Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 19 for a remote learning day due to forecasted severe weather coming through our area. Students have assignments to work on at home and will turn them in when they get back to school. Food is available at Meigs North and Meigs South between 10-12 tomorrow for any of our K-12 students. If road conditions prevent cafeteria staff from coming in and preparing that food, we will let everyone know tomorrow morning.

Due to the extremely low & dangerous temperatures forecasted for Wednesday, January 22, Meigs County Schools will be closed. As always, the safety of our students and staff is our number one priority. Low temperatures combined with the wind chill pose significant challenges for students waiting outside on buses.

Despite great efforts throughout the day today, a large numbers of secondary roads still remain a safety concern for busses and student drivers. Meigs County Schools will remain closed on Friday, January 17. Meigs County Schools will also be closed Monday, January 20 in observance of the National Holiday.
