Meigs Middle students with less than 10 points and no more than 1 unexcused absence for the first nine weeks were rewarded with an afternoon fun day! Students spent the sunny but cool afternoon outside playing games and jumping on inflatables.

Meigs Middle picture retake day - Thursday, October 24th . Any students having picture retakes will need a parent note. This also includes new student pictures and students who were absent on previous picture day. Basketball team and individual pictures along with basketball cheer pictures will be taken, also.

The MMS volleyball team had a great time at the Lady Vols volleyball match against Auburn this past Sunday. It was a wonderful bonding experience with the team and their families. We are excited for a new season starting in a few short months. 🧡🖤🐯

Mrs. Meadows teaches 6th grade science classes which metal is the best conductor of heat. Butter is pressed together on different metals. Heat from the candle traveled through the copper line quickest to melt the butter causing it to fall off first.

Mrs. A's 8th grade science students worked with lab partners to identify and explain motion using Newtons 1st law of motion. They watched pennies fall into the cups while their notecards flew out from underneath. They discussed types of forces at play and how balanced and unbalanced forces were to cause such motions.
