Meigs North held its annual Veterans Day celebration on November 7th. Each grade level contributed with a demonstration, song, poem, or pledge. We had a wonderful turnout and want to thank our veterans for attending.

Last Friday, students should have brought home some info about our Annual Meigs North Walk-a-thon. Students can collect pledges from now until November 12. The walk-a-thon will be on November 14. Election season is upon us! My kindergarten class adopted a cow and starting today there is an America's Favorite Calf contest. We would love to win! Our cow's name is Nancy. Voting opens today thru Nov 6. Please give her a vote!

Hey friends! Mrs. Rachael and Mrs. Joy are taking up donations to go towards our 2024 Christmas Assistance Program. Every year they work hard to make our students' Christmases very special and this year we are asking for your assistance to help with this! If you would like to donate money towards our program, please turn that in to Mrs. Rachael or Mrs. Joy. We can also take new and unused toys, clothes, and shoes to go towards our children's Christmas as well! With Mrs. Rachael's baby due in December we are looking to start shopping for each child around Thanksgiving. Thanks in advance for your help with making our students' Christmas so special!
3rd graders started their third unit, Government for the People, last week in their reading and writing classes. They read, "Election Day," and then had to write an opinion paragraph on if they thought people should have the right to vote or not. Today students had the chance to vote on it. Students had to show proof of identity and had to register to vote.

Meigs County Schools will be closed on Tuesday, November 5th for election day. Please go out and vote and have a safe day off.
There will be NO after school tutoring at MNE on Thursday, Oct.31. Students may wear their Halloween costumes if they want to. No masks. No blood. No gore. No weapons (real or fake). Inflatables may be asked to deflate during class time. Thanks. JJ

We would like to congratulate our Bus Riders of the Month for October. These students listen the driver, stay seated on the bus, and show others how to behave. They adhere to the Meigs North Creed of working hard, playing fair, and being kind and courteous to everyone.
Mrs. Green's kindergarten class had a wonderful time riding the fire truck as part of our fire safety program this morning.
Meigs North held its annual Fall Festival on October 24th. Students played games, voted on games, and participated in a hay ride. We want to thank everyone that came out to support our school.
