Attention 3rd Grade Parents! The 3rd grade TCAP Retake Test will be administered at MNE on Wednesday, May 22. Students scoring Below or Approaching on the TCAP test will have the opportunity to take the retake test in an attempt to raise their scores, which could potentially help put them on a pathway to promotion.
We expect to get 3rd grade TCAP scores back sometime on May 20. Parents will be notified on May 20 or 21 if their child needs to take the retake test.
3rd Grade celebrated their iReady achievements today. Students who scored a level 3 or 4 on their last diagnostic test were able to have a water day today. All students got ice cream for showing growth on their diagnostic scores!
Mrs. Penrod's class held its first annual spelling bee on May 15th. Students were given a list of words to study. All the participants did a great job! Congratulations to all the kids! Students in grades 1-5 enjoyed a day at the park with treats for earning their 4th nine weeks AR points.
Awards Day! May 20, 2024 will be awards day at Meigs North. Teachers will present awards for grades 1-4. Please make sure to look at the times for each grade level. Please note a change has been made to our 1st grade awards time.
Congratulations to our A/R 100ś Club. Each student made over 100 A/R points for the year! They each received $10 cash.
Congratulations to our May Students of the Month! Pre-K- Noah R., Cade D., Kindergarten- Randall H., Jayce S., 1st grade- LIllian B., John F., 2nd Grade- Camton B., Ruby M. , 3rd Grade- Noralee P., Anthony B., 4th Grade- Kilin R., Autumn M., 5th Grade- Kyliee M., Johnny W. These students have shown that they can work hard, play fair, and be kind to everyone.
Meigs North students had a wonderful field day on Monday. The weather cooperated long enough to get all events finished.
Tomorrow, Thursday, May 16, is our Kindergarten and 5th Grade Awards Programs at Meigs North. These events will take place in the MNE gym. Parents and family members are invited to attend. Kindergarten is at 9:00 am, and 5th grade is at 12:00. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the events. Thanks. JJ
Just like that, as our 5th grade is getting ready to graduate and head off to middle school, they became published authors along the way! Each 5th grade homeroom got to choose a social/ emotional topic that we discussed in Mrs. Rachael's Guidance class and write about their personal experience with their given topic. We are so proud of our 5th grade! Congrats on becoming published authors!

Meigs North Fifth Grade students will have a promotion ceremony on May 16, 2024 at 12:00. Doors will open at 11:30.
