November Students of the Month were recognized on November 14th. These students follow the rules of our creed by working hard, playing fair, and being kind to everyone. The recipients for this month are Rayland E., Reagan N., Jameson E., Jasmine S., Brayden G., Gracie B., Hector R., Kayleigh S., Nicholas B., Annaleigh H., Kojak J., Sarah H., Brantley B., and Katelynn N.



Red Clay State Historic Park is having a Cherokee Cultural Celebration Saturday November 12 and Sunday November 13. This event is from 10:00-5:00 each day. Parking is $5. The event has traditional dancing, crafts, food, and demonstrations.

Thursday, October 27 is Camouflage or animal print day.


Meigs Middle, Meigs North, and Meigs South partnered with our local community and Title 1 Program in hosting the second annual “Kickin’ It With Kids: Meigs Food Truck Meet”. Family fun night - Food for Purchase. Several organizations set up to pass out free resources & information about upcoming events and programs: Boys & Girls Club, Meigs Library, VEC, Simply Bank, the Sheriff’s Office and etc... Students and parents had the opportunity to receive academic materials and information regarding school / district goals.

Wednesday, October 26 is Favorite Sports Team Day. Wear your jersey or shirt to support your favorite team.


On Thursday, November 3rd, all student will participate in our second annual Walk-A-Thon. Students will have 20 minutes to walk a 1/10 mile track as many times as possible. Students will collect pledges or donations for their laps. On November 18th prizes will be awarded to students who participate.


Tuesday, October 25 is Neon Day at Meigs North. Dress in your brightest colors.


October 24th begins Red Ribbon Week at Meigs North. Wear your pajamas.


Second grade students recently went on a field trip to Mayfield Farm Park. They had a blast with perfect weather, great students, and fun activities.





Meigs North will hold its annual Fall Festival on Thursday, October 27 from 4:30-6:30. Come eat, play games, get candy and prizes, and take a trip through the Haunted House.


We would like to invite everyone to the Halloween Bash, a Live Pro Wrestling Event on October 22 @ 7:00 @ Meigs County High School. This is a fundraising event for the Meigs High Cheerleaders.


We would like to invite everyone to our 2nd annual Title I "Kickin it with Kids Food Truck Event" at the Meigs County Fairgrounds, this Thursday evening, October 20 from 6:00-8:00. We will have lots of educational things for the kids to do, a STEM maze, food trucks for you to purchase your dinner, and lots of giveaways and door prizes. We hope to see everyone at this Title I community wide event.


Congratulations to our Meigs North Elk’s Lodge Hoop Shoot winners for 2022-2023. They will be advancing to the next round in Athens, where they will be competing for a spot in the District Championships. Great job!


Our county wide Kickin’ It With Kids event will be held on October 20th from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Meigs County Fairgrounds. Come join us for free give always, door prizes, educational activities, and food truck vendors.
