For those who signed up, MNE after school tutoring starts on Monday, September 8. It will be on Mondays and Thursdays until 4:00. Pickups will be on the front sidewalk at the lower awning, just like normal car riders. Please don't line up until all buses have exited campus. Thanks. JJ

R-E-S-P-E-C-T! The word for the month of September is respect. Respect is more than just a word- it's an action we practice. Respect means listening with patience, using encouraging words, and treating others the way we want to be treated.

August was our "Kindness" month at Meigs North. Students were learning about and participating in acts of kindness. We want to highlight our students who showed acts of kindness throughout the month. Remember that you can be kind all year long.

MNE will host a Scholastic Book Fair from September 8-12, 2025. Students can purchase books during their library time. The book fair will also be open to parents on September 8th during our Open House from 4:00-6:30. Stop by and support our school.

If your child received an invitation letter for after school tutoring, those permission slips are due back by tmrw, Tuesday, September 2, so that we have time to plan based on numbers. Late forms will not be accepted. Thanks. JJ

Friday, August 29th is the day to wear black. Help support our kindergarten classes learning about their colors by wearing black.

Thursday, August 28th is a day for the color white. Wear white to help kindergarten learn their colors.

🌟 A huge shoutout to Mrs. Angie & Mrs. Sara's PreK class for a fantastic day of Q-tip painting! Their little artists explored creativity while developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination on vertical surfaces. They also focused on name recognition, a vital early literacy skill! 💕 Plus, they emphasized taking turns, helping them practice patience, cooperation, and empathy.

Wednesday, August 27th is Brown day.

Don't forget about the Back to School Dance. Tuesday K-2, Wednesday 3-5 Remember your permission slip and admission money. Concessions will be sold.

Dance after school tmrw (Tuesday) for students in grades K-2. The cost is $3. Pictures and concessions will be sold. Students must have a signed permission slip to stay. It's over at 4:45. Pickup will be in front of school at lower lobby like normal car rider line. Thanks. JJ
