Spotlight on teachers! Introducing Mrs. Rachael Lee.
My name is Rachael Lee, I am the school counselor at Meigs North Elementary School. I am going into my 6th year of being a school counselor and 5th year being with Meigs North! I chose to pursue the school counseling field because I have a genuine love for helping people, being a listening ear, and a friend to any and everyone! My day to day responsibilities vary but these pictures are a few highlights from the last school year! The last 5th grade class became authors in guidance class, we had a Career Fair with many different careers for the students to learn about, we learned really fun and important topics in guidance. One picture featured a "conflict resolution" lesson, the counseling programs Christmas assistance program also provided 25 of our students with a wonderful Christmas, and to end each school year strong I always bring my dog Biscuit to say hello! I'm married and my husband's name is Blake Lee and we are expecting a little girl this Christmas season!

Parents, if there are any changes to your child's afternoon plans of how he/she normally gets home, please contact the Meigs North Office and let us know. The number is 423-334-5454. Even if you send the teacher a DOJO message, please let us know in the office as well. Thank you. JJ

Spotlight on teachers! Introducing Mrs. Samantha Mays.
My name is Samantha Mays, and I am a second grade teacher at Meigs North. This is my fifth year teaching second grade, and my third year teaching at MNE. I absolutely adore our school!
When I was young, I had many wonderful teachers who inspired me to pursue education as my career. I graduated as valedictorian from Central High School. Soon after, I attended Tennessee Wesleyan University and graduated in three years with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Having the opportunity to pour into children every single day is something I am so grateful for. There is nothing better than seeing a child's confidence flourish as they learn new life and academic skills.
Outside of school, I enjoy photography, running, reading, going to church, traveling, and spending time with my loved ones. I have been happily married for almost three years, and love getting to do life with my husband by my side. I am thankful every single day that I get to be a part of the MNE family, and look forward to the rest of the school year.

Spotlight on teachers! Introducing Mrs. Caitie Russell.
My name is Caitie Russell. This is my 4th year teaching. I have been married to my husband, Trey, for 3 years and we have two beautiful daughters. I have always wanted to be a teacher since I was in elementary school. When I'm not in school, I love to spend time with my family. I also love to read when I have the time. My favorite part about teaching is watching how my students change throughout the year. I'm looking forward to another great year!
