REMEMBER! Our Walk-A-Thon is tomorrow during grade levels. Please bring a coat. If you haven't turned in your pledge sheet, please do so first thing tomorrow morning.


I want clarify the previous message concerning bus changes at Meigs North. Ms. Tonia will pick up alf her kids and Mitch Bales's kids in the mornings. In the afternoons, Jr. Basinger will bring home all his kids and Mitch Bales's kids. Exact times for pickups and drop offs have not yet been established. Thanks. JJ

Meigs North is having to change some bus routes. Mitch Bales's bus route is being dissolved into Jr. Basinger and Tonia Dake. The afternoon delivery times for these students may vary while we are trying to establish our new routes. Thanks. JJ

Mr. Gene keeps our school clean and running well, but everyone needs some down time. He took time from his break to play flag football with the 5th grade students.

"Kickin' It With Kids" was a successful event again this year! Your attendance at Kickin' It With Kids is appreciated and contributed to its success. Thank you for being so supportive!

Staff members at Meigs North held a pumpkin decorating contest last week. The pumpkins were displayed during our Fall Festival and voted on by students and parents. There were some very creative pumpkins. Our winner was the Alice in Wonderland pumpkin by Ms. Marilyn Davis.




On Tuesday, October 24, our 4th grade students attended Healthy Horizons at the Decatur Park. Students spent the day learning about good health and participating in activities that are designed to keep students happy and healthy.



Our Walk- A-Thon is coming up next week. Get those pledges turned in and be ready to walk on November 3rd.

Ms. Chastity & Ms. Amanda's Preschool class visited the Public Library today. The students loved listening to Mrs. Judy Luster read stories & sing songs.


Yesterday, grade cards were sent home with Meigs North students. We also sent home information about our upcoming PTO Walk-a-thon Fundraiser. Please look over the information and start getting sponsors. This is a big event for our school. All students can participate. There are LOTS of prizes! Thanks. JJ

Meigs North will be having its annual Fall Festival on Thursday, October 19th from 4:30-7:00. We want to invite all school age students at attend. Children can play games, get candy and prizes, enter the haunted house, and food will be available to purchase. Make your plans to attend.
