Meigs County Schools: Meigs County Schools will be on a two hour start delay tomorrow, Dec. 15 due to possible road conditions and flooding associated with the amount of rainfall we received today as well as the forecasted continuation of that rain this evening and tonight.
Meigs South PreK had a surprise visit by Santa yesterday & he brought Happy Meals! We would like to thank Brittany Hughes with Decatur McDonald’s for making this happen!

Meigs Middle, Meigs North, and Meigs South partnered with our local community and Title 1 Program in hosting the second annual “Kickin’ It With Kids: Meigs Food Truck Meet”. Family fun night - Food for Purchase. Several organizations set up to pass out free resources & information about upcoming events and programs: Boys & Girls Club, Meigs Library, VEC, Simply Bank, the Sheriff’s Office and etc... Students and parents had the opportunity to receive academic materials and information regarding school / district goals.

Tonight will be the Meigs South Fall Festival. The festival begins at 5 and ends at 7:30. Prices for entertainment are $5 - games only $10 - games/meal, $15 - games/meal, haunted house, and hay ride. We will also be conducting a silent auction featuring 10 different gift baskets.
Meigs South Fall Festival will be Tuesday, October 25th, from 5:00-7:30. Prices are as follows: unlimited games $5/ unlimited games and meal $10/ unlimited games, meal, haunted house, and hayride $15. We look forward to seeing you Tuesday night!
We would like to invite everyone to the Halloween Bash, a Live Pro Wrestling Event on October 22 @ 7:00 @ Meigs County High School. This is a fundraising event for the Meigs High Cheerleaders.
We would like to invite everyone to our 2nd annual Title I "Kickin it with Kids Food Truck Event" at the Meigs County Fairgrounds, this Thursday evening, October 20 from 6:00-8:00. We will have lots of educational things for the kids to do, a STEM maze, food trucks for you to purchase your dinner, and lots of giveaways and door prizes. We hope to see everyone at this Title I community wide event.
Next week is Red Ribbon Week at MSE! We can't wait to see the amazing costumes that our kiddos wear. Always remember to be drug free!

IT'S FINALLY BACK!!! Meigs South Teachers and Staff are currently planning the return of our Annual Fall Festival. Please save the date and make plans to join us for a night of fun, food, games, fellowship, hay rides, and a haunted house! Flyers will be coming home with students after Fall Break!
